DePauw Runs Win Streak to Three after Victory over Transylvania

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never trailed on the way to a 19-5 win over visiting Transylvania. The Tigers improved to 3-2 with their third straight win, while the Pioneers dropped to 1-5.

Four different Tigers scored the first four goals of the contest and the Tigers held an 8-2 lead at the quarter break. That reached 13-2 at halftime after the Tigers held Transylvania scoreless in the second. DePauw stretched the lead to 16-2 before the Pioneers scored with 5:38 left in the third for their first goal in 30 minutes.

Rosalie Tasker and Kate Leone each had five goals with Tasker adding three assists. Kai Coffee finished with three goals, while Kate Sullivan and Bridget Driscoll each had two. Driscoll added two assists to move her career points total to 175 which tied the program record held by Graesen Campbell (2021-24) and her assists to 74 which broke the mark of 73 by Elizabeth McCracken (2013-16).

Driscoll led with 10 draw controls and four caused turnovers with Coffee leading with five ground balls.

Charlotte Green scored a pair of goals for Transylvania and led with six draw controls. Presley Helton paced the team with two caused turnovers and four Pioneers finished with two ground balls apiece.

Niamh Callahan recorded six saves in goal for the Tigers, while Grace Smilek-Edwards had four for the Pioneers and Peyton Steinriede totaled two.

DePauw outshot Transylvania, 39-17, led in ground balls, 19-10, and in draw controls, 15-13. The Tigers committed just seven turnovers to Transylvania's 18.

The Tigers return to action on Sunday, March 16, with a 10 a.m. CDT game against Colorado College at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.
