Davenport, Fla. - DePauw collected just one hit against Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Raiders topped the Tigers, 9-1. DePauw dropped to 6-8, while MSOE improved to 4-8.
MSOE jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first as Charlie Claas walked and advanced to third when Christian Bosque reached on an error. Bosque stole second before Elias Lopez grounded out, scoring Claas. Bosque scored on a wild pitch with two outs.
The Raiders scored five in the fourth as Jordan Skolmar and AJ Le walked before Jake Franks was hit by a pitch. After Joe Stried reached on a fielder's choice that forced Skolmar at the plate, Camden Hoier drove in Le with a single. Jack Kalitowski's sacrifice fly drove in Franks and Claas singled home Stried. Bosque then delivered a two-run double to make it 7-0.
Lopez retired the first 15 DePauw batters he faced until
Cooper Davis led off the sixth by being hit by a pitch.
Tyler Walkey moved him to second with a single.
Jack Murray reached on a fielder's choice that forced Walkey at second before
Aidan Howard brought home Davis with a sacrifice fly.
Kalitowski led off the seventh with a single and moved to third on a failed pickoff attempt. Bosque drove him in with a one-out double and stole third before scoring on Lopez's single.
Walkey had DePauw's lone hits with Bosque collecting two of MSOE's eight hits.
Finn O'Meara dropped to 0-1, while Lopez improved to 2-0.
DePauw returns to action on Thursday, March 20, with a Noon game against Kalamazoo.
