Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw extended its win streak to six and moved to 17-5 overall and 11-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference with an 86-29 Senior Day win over Kenyon. The Owls dropped to 2-20 overall and 0-12 in the NCAC.
DePauw scored 17 straight over a nearly six-minute stretch of the first period and took a 26-7 advantage at the quarter break. The Tigers, who held the Owls to single-digit point totals in each of the four quarters, pushed the lead to 40-13 at halftime before outscoring Kenyon, 46-16, in the second half.
Moira McGinley paced DePauw with 13 points, while
Riley Mont added 10 as 14 players reached the scorebook. Mont led the Tigers with six rebounds with
Ava Hassel and
Asya Smith each dishing out five assists. Hassel had three steals in the win.
Susannah Zimmerman paced the Owls with 12 points, while Alyssa Horsley added 11. Horsley, Megan Lieb and Chiara Nevard each had three rebounds and Alexis Newman handed out three assists.
DePauw shot 50 percent from the floor to Kenyon's 21.6 percent and the Tigers held a 46-16 rebounding edge which led to a 22-2 margin in second-chance points.
The Tigers travel to Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday, Feb. 19, for a 6 p.m. game as DePauw needs a win to have a chance at a seventh straight NCAC title.
