Greencastle, Ind. - Ellie Lochhead helped the Tigers to a 6-1 win over Wooster, recording her first career hat trick for senior day.
The FIghting Scots made it onto the scoreboard first, finding the back of the net at 14:25 to give Wooster their only lead of the day.Â
At 23:16 Ellie Lochhead tied up the game 1-1 after drawing a penalty goal. By halftime the Tigers had edged the Fighting Scots 14-2 in shots and 2-1 in penalty corners.Â
Ella Harms tallied the Tigers' second goal off a penalty corner, with a scramble in front of the net Harms was able to find an opening with an assist from Hailey Nowak.Â
The Tigers' third goal was recorded by Ashley Appleby who knocked the ball in off a cross assist from Anna Marks.Â
Lochhead netted two consecutive goals for the Tigers at the beginning of the fourth half. Nowak passed the ball from outside the circle to Lochhead crowding the net for the first and recorded her hat trick off a pass the the right corner of the penalty circle.Â
Ashley Appleby scored her second goal of the game off a penalty corner assisted by Maggie Volpe. Volpe led the Tigers' with eight shots on the day, four on goal.Â
The Tigers' will return to action on Wednesday, October 22nd when they travel to Lexington, Kentucky to take on Transylvania at 4:30 p.m. With two games remaining in the regular season, DePauw leads the conference 1-4 (6-1).
