Delaware, Ohio - The DePauw Tigers 8-2-4 (3-0-2) tied 0-0 in conference match up with the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops, Saturday evening.
The Battling Bishops made the first attempt to reach the back of the net at 10:38 with a corner kick header, but Sam Ortner made the diving save for the Tigers.
DePauw found purchase later in the first half with Harrison Engel and Matthew Fogo tallying two consecutive shots on goal for the Tigers. Engel tried to execute a goal off a throw in close to the corner and Fogo shot on goal from the left corner of the penalty box off a long cross pass.
Sebastian Leon led the Tigers with two shots on the day.
Ohio Wesleyan edged DePauw 8-6 in shots and 3-2 in corner kicks. Sam Ortner recorded four saves in goal, keeping the Fighting Bishops scoreless.
AJ Hockstok, Aidan Whitley, and Jungwoo Ryu pulled yellow card cautions during the game.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, October 21 when they host Wittenberg at Reavis Stadium at 7 p.m. Three games remain in regular season play with the Tigers currently sitting on top of the NCAC standings after defeating Denison last week.
