Oberlin, Ohio - The DePauw field hockey team records its third North Coast Athletic Conference shutout of the season after beating Oberlin College 5-0 on the road. The Tigers improved to 5-4 for the season and 3-0 in NCAC play, while the Yeowomen dropped to 0-7 for the season and 0-4 in conference play.

The Tigers' first goal of the afternoon came in the second minute of play following a penalty corner attempt where
Ella Mickey gathered a pass and found
Ella Morris in a scramble in front of the cage to put DePauw up 1-0. At the 15-minute mark, Morris took a penalty corner and pushed the ball out to the top of the circle to
Maggie Volpe for goal number two of the day.

The final three goals came in the fourth quarter from three different players. Forty-eight seconds into the fourth quarter,
Lilly Harris dribbled the ball into the circle and scored her first goal of the season to put the Tigers up 3-0. Less than two minutes later,
Amy Apfelbaum connected with
Hailey Nowak for goal number four. DePauw put the game away in the final minute of play when
Ella Harms snuck a ball into the back of the Yeowomen's cage for a final score of 5-0.

DePauw finished the afternoon outshooting Oberlin 31-2 and recorded nine penalty corners while giving up none on its defensive side.
Scarlett Oaks finished the afternoon with one save for the Tigers, while the Yeowomen's Janny McCormick recorded a career-high 15 saves.

DePauw's next match is against Kenyon College on Saturday, October 5 at 12 p.m. EDT at home for another NCAC matchup.
