Rock Island, Ill. - DePauw extended its win streak to three following a 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 27-25) win over Buena Vista and a 3-2 (25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-15, 15-7) victory over Greenville at Augustana College's Viking Classic. The Tigers are now 6-3.
In the Buena Vista match,
Addison Hooker led the Tigers with 12 kills and
Kaiden Harrington followed with 11, while
Kendall Herrick had 16 assists and
Olivia Karwin 14. Hooker had two aces, while
Grace Myers paced the squad with 14 digs.
Rachel Brockney led the Beavers with 13 kills with Jadyn Rausch assisting on 20. Mallory Ignaszewski and Skylar Needham each finished with two aces. Madison Thomas, Rausch and Merced Ramirez each had 10 digs.
DePauw held a 35-25 edge in kills and 5-1 in blocks and outhit Buena Vista, .265-.(-.035).
After falling behind 2-1, the Tigers battled back for the win over Greenville. Karwin paced DePauw with 12 kills and Harrington added 10 with Karwin totaling 22 assists. Karwin and
Grace Myers had three aces each and Myers totaled 26 digs and Karwin had 20 to finish with a triple-double..
Ashley Haas and Harrington each finished with four blocks.
Abby Grohmann paced Buena Vista with 22 kills and Emma Ratermann had 29 assists. Payton Hamm totaled three aces and 24 digs with Mia dejesus finishing with four blocks.
DePauw outhit Greenville, .133-.077 and led in kills, 51-50. The Tigers also led in aces (11-7), blocks (9-6) and digs (96-85).
DePauw wraps up play tomorrow with an 11 a.m. CDT contest against the host Vikings.
