Wooster, Ohio- The DePauw women's tennis team defeated fifth-seed and host College of Wooster 5-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. The Tigers improved to 12-8 for the season, while the Fighting Scots wrapped its season with a record of 5-14.

DePauw jumped to an early 3-0 lead following tightly contested doubles matches. Katie King and Alex Preston earned the first match win for the Tigers on court three. The pair defeated Woosters Abby Williams and Sarah Marshaal 8-4. On court two, Valerie Doherty and Kat Wilder held off the Fighting Scots' Abby Aitken and Margaret Steward, beating the duo 8-6. Ellen Gardner and Kassie Green completed the doubles sweep after beating Janaki Jagannathan and Otilia Oita 8-6 on court one.

Bella DeNardo extended the Tigers' lead to four in singles after defeating Naledi Jani 6-0, 6-0, on court six. After beating Woosters' Margaret Steward 6-0, 6-2 on court four, Katie King clinched the victory for DePauw.

The Tigers' victory this afternoon advances them to the NCAC women's tennis semifinals, where DePauw will take on top-seeded Kenyon on Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m.
