Hiram, Ohio - DePauw extended its win streak to 14 and captured its fifth straight and record ninth overall North Coast Athletic Conference title with a doubleheader sweep at Hiram. The Tigers took game one by a 4-2 score and the nightcap, 11-7, in 12 innings. DePauw improved to 24-11-1 overall and 12-0 in the NCAC, while Hiram dropped to 19-13 overall and 9-3 in conference play.
In the opener, DePauw took a 1-0 lead in the first as
Emily Timberman drove in
Goose Moore with a single. The Terriers took the lead in the bottom of the first as Danielle Robles and Daynna Mekaru each were hit by pitches with the bases loaded.
The Tigers regained the lead in the second after
Riley Heim reached on an error that allowed
Libby Minobe to score and
Goose Moore drove in
Ella Kuenster with a ground out. Timberman's seventh-inning grounder brought home
Ella Ohrvall with an insurance run.
Ohrvall and Kuenster each had two of DePauw's 10 hits, while Faith Kawamura and Angel Santellan each had two of the Terriers' six hits.
Riley Depa improved to 9-4, while
Alex Romero-Salas picked up her second save. Darian Kanno dropped to 7-6.
The Tigers jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second game with three in the first and one in the third. The contest was tied, 5-5, after five innings and remained that way until the 10th. when each team scored a single run. Each team also scored in the 11th to make it 7-7 before DePauw took the win in the 12th.

Kuenster, Mathies, Timberman and Romero-Salas each had three of DePauw's 19 hits with Ohrvall and
Macey Cox each adding a pair.
Abriana Schwartz, Santellan and Larissa Baeza had two hits each as Hiram totaled 10.
Romero-Salas improved to 11-4 with the 12-inning complete game with Kanno dropping to 7-7.
DePauw travels to Denison on Saturday, May 4, for a 1 p.m. NCAC doubleheader.
