Springfield, Ohio - DePauw extended its win streak to 12 following a doubleheader sweep at Wittenberg by scores of 8-6 in nine innings and 4-2. The Tigers improved to 22-11-1 overall and 10-0 on NCAC play, while the hosts dropped to 19-17 overall and 5-5 in the conference.
In the opener, DePauw took a 5-0 lead with one run in the first and four in the second before Wittenberg scored three in the second and one in the fourth. The Tigers expanded the lead to 6-4 on
Katie Mathies' RBI single in the seventh, but the hosts forced extra innings with two in the seventh.
Kelsey Bernhard drove in
Ella Ohrvall in the ninth with a single before
Madi Lockridge plated
Libby Minobe with a ground out. The Tigers retired Wittenberg in order in the bottom of the ninth for the win.
Ohrvall and
Riley Heim each had three of DePauw's 15 hits with
Goose Moore and Lockridge adding two each. Hanna Ecker had three of Wittenberg's eight hits.
Riley Depa improved to 8-4 with the win, while Lilly James dropped to 7-3.

Alyssa Anderson in the second and then scored on
Alex Romero-Salas' single. Ella Kunester's single brought home Ohrvall in the third and
Emily DuMais scored on an error later in the inning to push DePauw's lead to 4-0.
Wittenberg scored single runs in the fourth and sixth innings, but that was as close as the hosts got.
Six different Tigers had one hit each, while Meghan McCans and Julia Burch each had two of Wittenberg's five hits.
Romero-Salas improved to 10-4, while Julia Hall dropped to 5-7.
The Tigers travel to Hiram tomorrow for a 1 p.m. doubleheader and can wrap up the NCAC title with a pair of wins.
