Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw topped Kenyon, 9-3, in the opening game of its North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader and the Owls came back for a 17-5 win in eight innings in the nightcap. DePauw moved to 19-12 overall and 9-3 in the NCAC, while the Owls are now 19-12 overall and 6-6 in conference play.
Dustin Lee gave Kenyon the lead in the second on a grounder that scored Luke Meister, but DePauw responded in the bottom of the frame as

Danny Glimco's single in the third scored
Cameron Macon to give DePauw the lead before Gio Giuliani reached on a fielder's choice in the fifth that allowed Lee to cross the plate.
Carter Knoll gave the hosts the lead for good with a two-run single in the fifth that brought home Macon and
Grady Johnson. The Tigers put together a five-run seventh as Glimco hit a two-run homer followed by RBI doubles from Knoll and
Aidan Howard and a run-scoring single from Sucher. Giuliani's solo homer in the eighth wrapped up the scoring.
Johnson led DePauw with five of its 15 hits, while Knoll added three with Macon and Glimco each totaling two. Lee had two of Kenyon's six hits.
Michael Vallone improved to 7-0 after allowing four hits, while striking out nine and walking just two in seven innings. Jake Enger dropped to 0-2.
In the nightcap, Kenyon grabbed a 5-0 lead with a five-run second and the Tigers responded with five in the third on
Louis Florida's RBI double and Glimco's grand slam. That blast, the 22nd of his career, broke the DePauw record held by Kyle Callahan (2019-22). It also was the third grand slam of his career.
 The Owls, however, scored seven in the fifth, two in the seventh and three in the eighth to seal the win.
Florida had two of DePauw's eight hits, while Nate Rosen and Meister each had three of Kenyon's 16 hits. Ben Nash, Lee, Tripper Capps and Giuliani had two each.
Josh Heitert dropped to 0-1, while Noah Rosenberg improved to 2-1. Christian Harris notched his third save.
DePauw travels to Franklin tomorrow for a Noon doubleheader.
