Greencastle, Ind. -The DePauw men's tennis team beat Wittenberg University 8-1 on Senior Day, earning their eighth straight win and fifth straight conference victory in a row. The DePauw Tigers improved to 12-6 for the season and 5-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play, while the Wittenberg Tigers dropped to 1-16 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
 
Chase Hutchinson and Hudson Mosher kicked off the morning with an 8-2 win on court three over Wittenberg's Andrew Garofoli and Henry Smith. DePauw would go up 2-0 after Finley Buelte and Teagen Crow defeated Ethan Libby and Jacob Bennett 8-5 on court one. The Wittenberg Tigers would cut DePauw's lead in half after Mark Trinka and Sven Erenbeemt defeated Ryan McCook and Wils Warren 8-6 on court two.
 
With a match lead, the DePauw Tigers found its footing quickly in singles play. Jake Louiselle gave DePauw a two-match lead after defeating Andrew Garofoli 6-0, 6-1 on court four. Senior Ryan McCook tallied the DePauw Tigers fourth win after beating Jacob Bennett 6-2, 6-0 on court three. On court one, Finley Buelte clinched the win for DePauw following his 6-1, 6-0 victory over Wittenberg's Ethan Libby.
 
Grayson Zylstra would extend DePauw's to five matches following his victory over Henry Smith-Heston 6-2, 6-1 on court six. On court five, Scott Anderson beat Sven Erenbeemt 6-0, 6-2, and completing the singles play sweep for the DePauw Tigers was Samuele Pia, who defeated Mark Trinka 6-2, 6-1 on court two.
DePauw wraps up conference play next weekend with matches against Kenyon and Denison on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21.
