Granville, Ohio - Denison scored five times in the opening 4:26 and never trailed on the way to a 20-10 North Coast Athletic Conference win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 7-6 overall and 1-4 in the NCAC, while the Big Red improved to 9-5 overall and 5-0 in conference play.
It took Denison just 32 seconds to get on the board as Nick Vance's goal was the first of five by five different Big Red players in the opening five minutes.
Connor Gibson broke the run with 10:24 left in the opening period, but Denison scored four straight to push the lead to 9-1 midway through the quarter.
Henry White's man-up goal cut the deficit to 9-2, but the Big Red finished the period with a 10-2 advantage.

Beckett Tasker and Gibson helped the Tigers to a 3-1 stretch that trimmed the Denison lead to 11-5 before the Big Red closed the half with four straight to extend the lead to 15-5 at the intermission. Denison's lead reached 12 multiple times in the second half before the Tigers wrapped up the scoring with two in the final four minutes.
Tasker and Flynn each scored three goals for the Tigers with Gibson adding a pair. Flynn's three assists led DePauw.
Anthony Reinhardt recorded 17 saves in goal for the Tigers and led the way with five ground balls. Reinhardt,

Jack Blum each caused two turnovers.
Luke Fisher paced the Big Red with four goals with Tommy Quinson and Nate Kay each totaling three. Fisher and Kay each assisted on a pair. Andrew Albert and Will Creevy each recorded two saves with Brant Satterly finishing with one. Grant Larson led the Big Red with nine ground balls and Colin MacLean had eight with Quinson finishing with three caused turnovers.
Denison outshot DePauw, 60-26, including 37-15 on goal. The Big Red won 30 of the 32 faceoffs and held a 70-28 edge in ground balls. The Tigers committed 20 turnovers to Denison's 22.
DePauw travels to Wabash on Wednesday, April 17, for a 4 p.m. NCAC contest.
