DePauw Opens Season at NFCA Leadoff Classic

Columbus, Ga. - DePauw opened the 2024 softball season with five games at the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Leadoff Classic.

The Tigers opened play on Thursday with a 10-9 loss in nine innings to 21st-ranked Central before coming back with a 3-2 win in eight innings over Babson. The win over Babson marked the 300th in head coach Erica Hanrahan's 12 seasons.

After rain wiped out Friday's schedule, the Tigers returned to the diamond on Saturday and dropped a 9-0 contest with third-ranked Berry and a 10-5 game with number-nine Virginia Wesleyan. Sunday's finale was a 7-1 defeat to 13th-ranked Case Western Reserve.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 9, with four games at the Millikin Tournament.
