Orlando, Fla.- The DePauw women's tennis team recorded its seventh consecutive win after defeating New Paltz 5-0 in a truncated match cut short due to weather. The Tigers improve to 8-4 for the season, while the Hawks drop to 7-6.

DePauw and New Paltz started with singles play to beat a weather delay. The Tigers quickly took the lead after first-year Katie King defeated the Hawk's Loretta Donovan 6-3, 6-1 on court four. Bella DeNardo secured DePauw's second win on court six after beating Olivia Kunz 6-2, 6-4 on court six. The Tigers would take a commanding 3-0 lead after Valerie Doherty beat Tatiana Barnett 7-5, 6-1 on court three. Ellen Gardner's comeback win over Justine Stanejko (3-6, 6-3, 10-5) put DePauw up by four, and securing the Tigers' seventh consecutive victory was Kassie Green who defeated Onalee Batcheller 2-6, 6-2, 10-5 on court two.

Due to the weather, Kat Wilders' match against Amirah Alston on court five was not completed, and none of the doubles matches were played.
