Doylestown, Pa. - DePauw scored the game's first four goals and never trailed on the way to an 11-5 win at Delaware Valley. The Tigers moved to 6-3, while the Aggies are 2-6.
The Tigers led 2-0 after the opening period and expanded it to 4-0 before going into the halftime with a 5-2 advantage. DePauw extended the lead to 7-2 in the third and the Aggies were no closer than four goals the rest of the way.
Henry White led the Tigers with three goals and two assists, while
Gavin Berry,
Beckett Tasker and
Charlie Rodriguez each scored a pair. Chris Marren led Delaware Valley with three goals.
Anthony Reinhardt had 10 saves for DePauw and Jim Murphy totaled 18 for the Aggies.
Matthew Roman won 13-of-20 faceoffs and Rodriguez collected 11 ground balls and head a team-high three caused turnovers.
Fredrick Offenburger led the Aggies with six ground balls and three different players caused one turnover apiece.
DePauw outshot Delaware Valley, 46-23, including 29-15 on goal. The Tigers also held a 36-20 edge in ground balls and committed 21 turnovers to the hosts' 27.
The Tigers host Hiram on Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m.
