Ashland, Va., - DePauw battled back from an early deficit in game two of its doubleheader at ninth-ranked Randolph-Macon and finished in a 6-6 tie after the game was called due to darkness. The Yellow Jackets blanked the Tigers, 4-0 in the opener. DePauw is now 7-9-1, while Randolph-Macon is 10-2-2.
In the opener, Rilee Baughan hit a solo homer with two outs in the first before Kayla Davis delivered a two-run single with the bases loaded in the third. The Yellow Jackets' final run came in the fifth when Blayne Talley scored on a wild pitch after leading off with a single, moving to second on a sacrifice bunt and to third on a grounder.
Six different Tigers collected one hit apiece, while Talley and Hannah Martin each had two of Randolph-Macon's eight hits.
Riley Depa dropped to 0-3 for the Tigers, while Gracie Ellis moved to 7-0 with the complete game shutout.
In the second game, the hosts again jumped out to an early lead with a three-run first. Davis singled home Amanda Lanyon and Reagan Hill brought home Jacy Ramos and Madison Drew Faries with a base hit.

The Yellow Jackets countered in the bottom of the fifth as Baughan hammered a two-run homer to right to even the score at 5-5.
DePauw regained the lead in the sixth after Bernhard reached on an error that allowed
Ella Kuenster to score.
Randolph-Macon's Sierra Livingston evened the score in the bottom of the seventh with a two-out single that scored Olivia Owens. A ground out ended the threat and the game was ended due to darkness.
Eight different DePauw players had one hit each, while Davis had three of the Yellow Jackets' 12 hits with Lanyon and Martin each totaling two.
The Tigers travel to fifth-ranked Christopher Newport tomorrow for a 12:30 p.m. doubleheader that was originally scheduled for Thursday.
