Tigers Bounce Back with 6-3 Win Over the Garnet Chargers

Orlando, Fla.- The DePauw men's tennis team moved back into the win column after defeating Union College (N.Y.) 6-3. The Tigers improve to 5-6 for the season, while the Garnet Chargers fall to 2-6.
 
Finley Buelte and Teagen Crow gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead in doubles play after defeating Solen Bellemare and Keita Fukushima 8-4 on court two. The Garnet Chargers' Daniel Saxe and Austin Gregory tied the match at two after defeating Wils Warren and Hudson Mosher 8-6 on court three. Union took a 2-1 lead after Ben Jacobs and Dimitris Binopoulos beat Ryan McCook and Chase Hutchinson 8-5 on court one.
 
In singles play, despite Scott Anderson falling to Solen Bellemare 6-1, 1-6, 10-8 on court five, DePauw would regain its footing and win five of the six matches. Evan Uhl would kick off the Tiger's comeback on court six, defeating Seth Pursko 6-3, 3-6, 10-3. Tying the afternoon at three was Ryan McCook, who beat Keita Fukushima 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 on court three. Finley Buelte defeated Dimitris Binopoulos 6-1, 7-6 on court two, putting DePauw up 4-3. Jake Louiselle on court four would eventually secure the victory for the Tigers after outlasting Union's Daniel Saxe 6-1, 2-6, 10-6, and on court one, Samuele Pia earned DePauw's sixth win after defeating Ben Jacobs 6-3, 2-6, 10-4.
