Milwaukee, Wis. - DePauw opened the 2024 season at Milwaukee School of Engineering with a 5-2 loss to the Raiders.
The Raiders took a 2-0 lead with single goals in each of the first two quarters by Case Roberts and Sore Savard before
Connor Gibson struck for the Tigers with an assist from
Jack Flynn with 2:07 left in the half.
MSOE expanded the lead to 3-1 late in the third as Savard scored his second goal, but
Henry White responded with another assist from Flynn with 2:10 remaining in the third. The hosts made it 4-2 in the opening three minutes of the final period as Peter Russchenbrg scored before Roberts sealed the win with a score with 3:53 left.
MSOE outshot DePauw, 34-29, and held a 27-19 edge in ground balls while winning nine of 11 faceoffs.
Anthony Reinhardt recorded 14 save for DePauw, while Thomas Miles had nine stops for MSOE.
The Tigers host Kalamazoo at Noon on Sunday, Feb. 25.
