DePauw Sits in Fourth Following Day Two of NCAC Championships

Granville, Ohio- The DePauw women's swimming team moved to fourth place with 383 points following day two of the NCAC Swimming and Diving Championships. Kenyon College broke its tie with Denison, leading the competition with 712.5 points. Denison is in second place with 690.5 points, followed by the College of Wooster with 418. 
 
On day two of the conference championships, the Tigers battled for third most of the day with the Fighting Scots. After its full first day of competition, DePauw completed the evening with two top-ten individual finishers and a top-five relay finish. Tara Holder took eighth in the 500 Free with a time of 5:02.19, while Caroline Stowe came in tenth in the 50 Free with a time of 23.96. Stowe would later swim as the anchor for the Tigers along with Anya Melson, Elise Umbach, and Libby Ruff in their fourth-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay (3:56.09).
 
DePauw totaled 12 top-20 finishers on day two and more than doubled its point total between day one and two. The Tigers take to the pool deck again Friday, February 16, at 9:30 a.m. for prelim races in the following races: 
  • 100 Fly
  • 400 IM
  • 200 Free
  • 100 Breast
  • 100 Back
  • 200 Free Relay
