Richmond, Ind. - DePauw trailed only in the opening minute of its game at Earlham and pulled away for an 82-51 victory over the Quakers. The Tigers improved to 2-3, while Earlham dropped to 0-5.
Earlham scored on the game's opening possession, but DePauw scored the next nine and never trailed the rest of the way. The Tigers led by as many as 12 before taking a 30-20 advantage into halftime.
The Quakers were within seven at 37-30 with 15:11 left in the game before the Tigers scored 11 straight to expand the lead to 48-30 at the 12:16 mark.
Later in the half, DePauw put together a 15-2 stretch to push the margin to 31 at 70-39.
Kyle Lillwitz led the Tigers with career highs of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while
Reph Stevenson added 14 points and nine boards.
Caleb Washington rounded out the double-figure scorers with 12 points.
Ken Walker paced Earlham with 19 points and five assists with Tavian Tatum hauling down eight rebounds.
DePauw shot 45.2 percent from the floor including 53.3 percent in the second half, while Earlham connected on 29.5 percent from the field. The Tigers held a commanding 50-32 edge on the boards and committed 13 turnovers to Quakers' 17.
The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, November 26, with a 5 p.m. CST game at Illinois Tech.
