Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw men's soccer team dropped its first North Coast Athletic Conference matchup 3-1 to the Kenyon College Owls at home. The Tigers fall to 4-4-1 for the season and 0-1 in conference play, while the Owls improve to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in NCAC play.

In the 26th minute, the Owls' Akex Ramirez snuck a pass through the Tigers' backline to Alem Duratovic, who knocked it into the back of the goal to put Kenyon up 1-0. The Owls would stretch its lead to two after Kenyon's Joey Marten's headed a pass by Miko Warshaw for goal number two.

Ethan Webster stopped a counterattack and had a couple of touches before putting the ball in the back of the Owls net.

Down 2-1, DePauw looked to even the game at two apiece; however, Kenyon's ability to score on set pieces proved too much for the Tigers. In the 71st minute, off a free kick, Aidan Burns found Duratovic again for the Owls' final goal.

The Owls held an edge over the Tigers in both shots, 10-5, and corners 5-2, with both team's goalies tallying two saves for the day.

DePauw's next game is in Crawfordsville, Ind. on Wednesday, October 4, at 4 p.m. against Wabash College.
