Greencastle, Ind. - Rose-Hulman scored the first point of the match at DePauw, but the Tigers never trailed after that on the way to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-16) win over the Fightin' Engineers. DePauw moved to 7-6 on the season, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 10-7.
DePauw held a 37-23 advantage in kills and outhit Rose-Hulman, .151-.017.
Katie Gansle and
Kaiden Harrington each recorded 10 kills for the Tigers with Harrington hitting .400.
Olivia Karwin assisted on 15 of the kills and
Anna Lervick had 14. Jillian Gregg paced the Engineers with seven kills and 10 assists.
Riley Kamer and
Grace Myers each had two of DePauw's five service aces, while three different Rose-Hulman players had one apiece. Myers led the DePauw defensive effort with 18 digs with Lily Ebright pacing the Engineers with 17.Â
DePauw held a 9.0-8.0 edge in blocks as Gansle and
Ashley Haas each had five block assists for the Tigers. Allie Fults led Rose-Hulman with two block solos and three block assists.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 30, with a 12:30 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference match at Wooster and a 2:30 p.m. non-conference contest against Otterbein.
