Wilmington, Ohio - DePauw drew even with host Wilmington with just under 20 minutes left, but the Quakers scored a pair on the final 15 minutes for a 3-1 victory over the Tigers. The Tigers dropped to 6-2-2, while the Quakers improve 7-1.
The teams battled through a scoreless first half with Wilmington holding an 8-7 edge in shots including 5-3 in shots on goal.
Alex Wilson put the hosts on the board in the 55th minute when she buried a shot from over 25 yards.
Whitney Wells took a throw-in from
Sophia Patrey and struck the equalizing goal from the right side 16 minutes later. Shannon Jamieson's penalty kick at 75:09 put Wilmington ahead for good before MJ Little added an insurance goal with 3:07 left on a rebound after DePauw goalkeeper
Aubree Empie made a save on the initial shot.
Wilmington outshot DePauw, 17-13, and held a 10-8 advantage in shots on goal. Wilmington also led in corners, 3-1.
DePauw's Empie recorded six saves for the Tigers with Heidi Toner totaling seven for the Quakers.
The Tigers host Asbury on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 2:30 p.m. in the final non-conference game of the season.
