Granville, Ohio - DePauw never trailed in the first and third sets and opened North Coast Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-17) win at Denison. The Tigers improved to 6-6, while the Big Red dropped to 5-8 overall.
Katie Gansle's 13 kills paced DePauw, while Claire Hamilton led Denison with 11. DePauw held a 35-33 edge in kills and outhit the Big Red, .255-.115.
Kendall Herrick led the Tigers with 16 assists with Alice Kempf pacing the hosts with 29. DePauw held a 9-8 lead in service aces as
Riley Kamer had a match-high four for DePauw and Kempf totaled three for Denison.
DePauw's
Lauren Ridgway had a team-high six block assists, while
Grace Myers led with 13 digs. Corinne Boyd led Denison with one block solo and one block assist. The Tigers led in blocks, 8.0-4.0.
DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 26, when it hosts Rose-Hulman in a 7 p.m. contest.
