Columbus, Ohio- An early goal in the first half wasn't enough in the DePauw men's soccer 2-1 road loss to Capital University. The Tigers drop to 4-3 for the season, while the Comets improve to 6-1.

DePauw struck first in the 17th minute of play when
Sam Thiel found
Lalo Castellanos, who passed it to
Matthew Fogo for his first collegiate goal. The Tigers would hold onto its 1-0 lead for the remainder of the half despite the Comets outshooting DePauw 7-6.

In the second half, Capital scored back-to-back goals to go up 2-1 with just under 30 minutes left in regulation. Derrick Harris scored the first goal for the Comets in the 62nd minute and then proceeded to assist Zade Awad a minute later to take the lead.

Sam Ortner tallied a career-high five saves.

DePauw returns to Greencastle on Tuesday, September 26, to host Hope College at 7 p.m. at Reavis Stadium.
