DePauw Drops Final Two Matches at Carthage Invitational

Kenosha, Wis. - DePauw wrapped up play at the Carthage College Invitational with 3-0 losses to Carthage (25-14, 25-17, 25-15) and North Park (25-13, 25-19, 25-23). The Tigers are now 5-6 on the season.

In the Carthage match, the hosts outhit DePauw .400-.040 and had 42 kills to the Tigers' 25. Kaiden Harrington paced DePauw with eight kills and hit .400, while Olivia Karwin had 11 assists. Liv Carel paced Carthage with 11 kills and Tatum Kebisek totaled 17 assists.

Grace Myers had two of DePauw's three aces, while Kebisek had three of Carthage's eight.

Grace Myers led the Tigers with eight digs and Kenzie Myers had one block. Jenna Damon had a match-high 15 digs for the hosts and Leena Ajibola had six blocks.

Against North Park, the Vikings outhit DePauw .223-.126 and held a 40-27 lead in kills. Katie Gansle led DePauw with nine kills and Kendall Herrick had 12 assists, while Adriana Rodriguez had 14 kills for North Park and Christina Gatta had 31 assists.

Gansle and Grace Myers each had one service ace for DePauw with Gatta totaling six of the Vikings' 13.

Grace Myers led DePauw's defense with 14 digs and Ashley Haas had four blocks, while Carolina Aviles had 17 digs for North Park.

DePauw retuns to action and opens North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 23, with a 1 p.m. match at Denison.
