Kenosha, Wis. - DePauw's five-match win streak came to an end at the hands of 20th-ranked Wis.-Stevens Points as the Pointers topped the Tigers 3-0 (25-21, 27-25, 25-19) at the Carthage College Invitational. The Tigers dropped to 5-4, while Stevens Point improved to 7-1.
Kaiden Harrington paced DePauw with eighth of its 31 kills with
Kendall Herrick totaling 13 assists. Ashley Kopp led the Pointers with 17 of their 44 kills with Grace Michalske leading with 38 assists. Stevens Point outhit the Tigers, .167-.092.
DePauw held an 8-6 edge in servie aces as
Ashley Haas had four for the Tigers and Kopp totaled three for the Pointers.
Olivia Karwin paced the DePauw defensive effort with 16 digs with Lauren Ridgeway, Haas and Harrington each finishing with four block assists. Tessa Erlandson led Stevens Point with 22 digs, while Carly Thomka had five total blocks.
DePauw returns to action tomorrow when it faces Carthage at 11 a.m. CDT and North Park at 1 p.m. CDT.
