Terre Haute, Ind.- Dropping its second loss of the season, the DePauw men's soccer team fell to Rose-Hulman 2-0, moving to 3-2 for the season.
The Fightin' Engineers' first goal of the evening came in the 21st minute by Rose-Hulman's Connor Patton from his teammate Caleb Urban. Up 1-0 with just under 25 minutes left in the half, the Fightin' Engineers would go on to outshoot the Tigers 7-4, while DePauw had the edge over Rose-Hulman in corners, 4-3.
In the second half, Rose-Hulman extended its lead to two goals in the 49th minute; this time, Caleb Urban found the Fightin' Engineers' Peter Borger to put Rose-Hulman up 2-0 with over 40 minutes left in regulation.
The Tigers, seeking to cut into the Fightin' Engineers' lead, tallied seven shots and earned five corners while giving up just one on its defensive end. Despite their efforts, however, DePauw couldn't shake Rose-Hulman's defense and were held to just three shots on goal for the night. The Fightin' Engineers outshot the Tigers 14-11 and had eight shots on goal.

Alexander Lundin totaled six saves for the evening, while the Fightin' Engineers' John Biederstedt tallied three.
DePauw returns to Greencastle, Ind., on Sunday, September 17, at 1 p.m. to host Center College at Reavis Stadium.
