Sewanee, Tenn. - DePauw dropped to 1-3 on the season following a 6-1 loss to Rhodes as the Lynx improved to 3-1.
The teams battled through a scoreless opening period before Rhodes struck first on Sophie Croci's goal at 17:59. The Lynx scored three times in a 4:36 stretch of the third period to take a 4-0 lead.
Amy Apfelbaum put DePauw on the board with a score at39:01 on an assist from
Hailey Nowak.
Rhodes added two more goals in the fourth for the final margin. Croci scored three and assisted on two to lead Rhodes.
Rhodes outshot DePauw, 20-10, including 13-7 on goal.
Scarlett Oaks totaled seven saves for DePauw and Catherine Gluodenis had six for the Lynx.
DePauw hosts Earlham on Sept. 12, at 7 p.m.
