Salisbury, Md. - DePauw opened the 2023 season at preseason fourth-ranked Salisbury and the Tigers were on the short end of an 8-0 score.
It took the hosts only 1:30 to score and then another 22 seconds before tallying three in the opening period. The Sea Gulls extended the lead to 5-0 at the half before adding the final three goals in the third period.
Salisbury held a 29-2 shots advantage including 22-1 on goal. The Sea Gulls also led in penalty corners, 10-1.
Emma Radebaugh paced Salisbury with three goals and one assist with Mack Dinopoulos added two goals and one assist. Kaitlyn DeModna had a team-high two assists.
Bella Lauber recorded 14 saves in goal for the Tigers, while Abbey McIlvain had one for Salisbury. McIlvain and Addy O'Connell split the time in goal for the shutout.
DePauw returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 3, with an 11 a.m. game against Washington College.
