Tiffin, Ohio - Host Heidelberg scored 11 runs over the first three innings on the way to a 17-5 win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 11-22, while Heidelberg improved to 17-21.
The Berg grabbed a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first before DePauw reached the board in the top of the second after 
Kyle Boyer singled home 
Danny Sheehan.
The hosts plated two more in the second and six in the third for an 11-1 lead. Heidelberg added six more in the fifth before DePauw scored four in the seventh as 
Brennan Roach hit a two-run homer before 
Cameron Allen followed with a solo homer. 
Luke Soultz later scored on a wild pitch for the game's final run.
Eight different Tigers collected one hit each, while Camden Farley and Adam McVicker each had four of The Berg's 21 hits with Andrew Cook and Reece McNeely each totaling three. McVicker homered twice in the contest.
Nathan Fackel dropped to 1-1, while Jackson Armbrecht improved to 1-0.
DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, May 2, when it hosts Wittenberg in a Noon North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader.
