Hiram, Ohio - DePauw and Hiram were tied 2-2 nine minutes into their North Coast Athletic Conference game, but the Tigers scored the next 14 goals on the way to an 18-3 win over the Terriers. DePauw moved to 7-7 overall and 2-4 in the NCAC, while Hiram dropped to 5-9 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
Connor Gibson and
Jack Flynn each scored five goals for DePauw with
Eli Federman adding three.
Henry White assisted on six with
Beckett Tasker chipping in five assists. Noah Pilgram led Hiram with two goals.
Anthony Reinhardt led DePauw with two saves with
Turner Keck adding one and
Sebastian Schaefer three.
Matthew Roman won 22 of 25 faceoffs and led the Tigers with 13 ground balls.
Jack Kneisley followed with six ground balls. Aaron Gardner paced Hiram with five ground balls.
DePauw held a 49-20 edge in shots and committed just 16 turnovers to Hiram's 26. The Tigers also held the advantage in ground balls, 33-14.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, April 25, when they travel to Wittenberg for a 7 p.m. game.
