Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw men's tennis team dropped its first matchup since March after falling 7-2 to the No. 17-ranked Kenyon College. The Tigers drop to 8-6 for the season and 4-1 in conference play, while the Owls improve to 11-9 overall and 5-1 in NCAC play.

Kenyon jumped to an early lead after the Owl's Thomas Kallarakal and Eric Zhang beat
Cole Metzger and
Hudson Mosher 8-4 on court two. On court three, Luis Andres Platas and Christophe Leblanc defeated
Jake Watson and
Finley Buelte 8-4. Cutting the Owls' lead in half on court one,
Thomas Partridge and
Ryan McCook outlasted Kenyon's Paulo Pocasangre Kreling and Eliezer Gonzalez with a score of 8-7(7-4).

Up 2-1, Kenyon continued to find success in singles play. On court three, Kallarakal defeated McCook 6-3, 6-0; on court five, Audeh Rakkan beat Metzger 6-1, 6-1, to give the Owls a 4-1 lead. With four matches remaining, Kenyon clinched the win after Zhang defeated
Grayson Zylstra 6-1, 7-5 on court six.

Platas of Kenyon outlasted Buelte on court two, beating Buelte 7-5, 6-4. On court one, Partridge won his match against the Owl's Rishil Kondapaneni due to Kondapaneni retiring, 4-6, 6-3, 3-4, 0-WR. In the day's final match,
Jake Louiselle fell to Pocasangre 4-6, 6-4, 0-1(4-10).

DePauw hosts Denison on Sunday, April 16, for its senior day. The Tigers and the Big Red take to the courts at 12 p.m.
