Greencastle, Ind. - With temperatures in the low 20s and wind chills in the single digits, visiting Illinois Tech topped DePauw, 9-4. The Tigers dropped to 2-3, while the Scarlet Hawks improved to 3-1.

The Scarlet Hawks scored a pair in the second period and the first of the third to expand the lead to 4-1. White's goal with 9:53 remaining in the third closed the gap to 4-2, but the guests scored three straight in a 1:52 stretch to push the lead to 7-2.
Flynn and White each scored to trim the deficit back to 7-4, but the Scarlet Hawks added two more to seal the win.
Flynn and White each scored two for DePauw, while Ty Dwyer, Jonathan Vitale and Aidan Gans each scored a pair for Illinois Tech.
Anthony Reinhardt stopped eight shots in goal for DePauw with the Scarlet Hawks' Zane Handy totaling 10.
Illinois Tech outshot DePauw, 39-27, and each team had 19 ground balls. DePauw won 14 of the 16 faceoffs led by
Jack Kneisley's 14 wins.
Kneisley paced the Tigers with 11 ground balls and
Matthew Garrigan caused three turnovers. Nehemyah Green and Juan Bohorquez each had three ground balls for the Scarlet Hawks with Spencer Meace causing four turnovers.
