St. Louis, Mo. - DePauw scored three in the top of the sixth to take a 6-4 lead at WashU, but the Bears scored nine in the bottom of the sixth and topped the Tigers, 13-6. DePauw dropped to 3-5 with the loss, while the Bears improved to 3-4. The second game of the day against Wartburg was canceled in the first inning due to weather.

Katie Mathies drove in
Goose Moore with a single, but the Bears tied it in the bottom of the frame when Tami Wong's sacrifice fly plated Maggie Baumstark. The Bears took the lead in the second as Baumstark singled home Payton Irwin.Â
Brooke Bruin reached on a fielder's choice bunt in the fourth which allowed
Riley Heim and
Madi Lockridge to score and give DePauw a 3-2 lead. Wong lifted another sacrifice fly in the fifth that scored Baumstark and Taylor Geluck followed with a triple that scored Natalia Pilpil and gave the hosts a 4-3 advantage.Â
Hanna Coffel singled through the left side in the sixth to score
Lily Jennings and Moore scored on a passed ball to put the Tigers back in front, 6-5.
The Bears took advantage of two DePauw errors in the bottom of the sixth and collected seven hits on the way to a nine-run outburst that gave them a 13-6 lead.
Moore had two of DePauw's nine hits, while Irwin had three of WashU's 12 hits.Â
Megan Asher dropped to 2-1 with the loss with Jamie Burgasser improved to 1-1.
DePauw faces Wartburg tomorrow at 11 a.m. CDT and WashU at 3 p.m. CDT.
