Oberlin, Ohio-Â The DePauw men's tennis team outlasted Oberlin College, beating the Yeomen 6-3 on the road to improve to 3-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Oberlin drops to 3-5 and 0-1 in NCAC play.

The Tigers fell to an early 2-1 deficit in doubles play, with
Thomas Partridge and
Ryan McCook beating James Dill and Grant North 8-2 on court one. On court three, DePauw's
Chase Hutchinson and
Jake Louiselle fell to Oberlin's Shawn Lisann and Sebastien Naginski 8-4. The Yeomen traded points on court two and ultimately came out on top after Oberlin's Rohan Gold and Sean Billerbeck defeated
Finley Buelte and
Hudson Mosher 8-7 (7-4).Â

In singles matches, the two teams battled back and forth across the six courts. Down 2-1, the Tigers managed to tie the matches at two apiece when Buelte beat Gold 6-3, 6-2, on court two. Oberlin would take back the lead on court one when Billerbeck defeated Partridge 6-4, 6-4. In the remaining matches for the afternoon, all four were determined by tie-breakers. McCook, on court three, beat Lisann 5-7, 7-5, 6-1, tying the match score at three. Louiselle beat Naginski 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 on court four, giving the Tigers an edge over the Yeomen.Â

Grayson Zylstra clinched the win for DePauw after he beat Dill 5-7, 6-0, 6-4 on court five, followed by a marathon of a win for Mosher, who defeated North 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).

The Tigers return to Greencastle, Ind., to host Marian University (Ind.) on Wednesday, March 15, at 4:30 p.m.
