Springfield, Ohio- In the battle of the Tigers and its first NCAC match of the season, the DePauw men's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Wittenberg University Tigers.

In the 23rd minute, Wittenberg's Jack Pascoal received a pass from Christopher Meyer for the Wittenberg Tigers' first goal of the afternoon.

The DePauw Tigers would even the score in the 47th minute after

Sam Thiel for Thiel's fifth goal of the season.

Unfortunately for DePauw, Wittenberg pulled away with two late goals by Kyler Hagstrom and Cameron Elliot to give the Wittenberg Tigers a 3-1 lead with just ten minutes left in regulation.

The DePauw Tigers were outshot 13-8 by Wittenberg but edged out the Wittenberg Tigers 3-1 in corners.

DePauw moves to 4-3-3 overall, and 0-1 in North Coast Athletic Conference play. The Tigers' next game is Saturday, October 1, at 11 a.m. against Asbury University in Wilmore, Ky.
