Delaware, Ohio- The DePauw field hockey team faced an aggressive Ohio Wesleyan offense in its 2-0 loss to the Battling Bishops.

In the first half, Ohio Wesleyan outshot DePauw 8-1, tallied four penalty corners, and gave up just two in its defensive end. Alyssa Markell scored the Battling Bishops' first goal of the afternoon in the 17th minute of play.

The Tigers held off Ohio Wesleyan throughout the third period; however, in the 49th minute, the Battling Bishops' Veronica Hardman stretched the lead to two, ultimately putting away the game.

Bella Lauber recorded three saves for the afternoon while
Scarlett Oaks finished with four.

DePauw moves to 3-3 for the season and travels to Granville, Ohio, on Saturday, September 24, to play the Denison University Big Red at 11 am.
