Wilmington, Ohio - A pair of second-half goals lifted DePauw to a 3-1 win at Wilmington in the season opener for both schools.
Jack Kirby gave DePauw a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute off of
Ben Weidner's assist before the Quakers evened the count in the 27th minute on Yusef Muqtadir's unassisted goal.
Jacob Fowler scored at 54:09 with the eventual game winner before
Chase Brieger sealed the win at 74:34.
DePauw outshot Wilmington, 17-10, including 8-5 in shots on goal. The Tigers also led in corners, 4-3.
DePauw's Alex Lundin recorded four saves and Wilmington's Gabriel Swaisgood stopped five of the Tigers' shots.
The Tigers return to action on Monday, September 5, with a 1 p.m. home game against Anderson.
