Oberlin, Ohio- The DePauw women's tennis team fell to the Oberlin College Yeowomen 9-0 on the road.
The Yeowomen found success early, sweeping the Tigers in doubles. Oberlin's Claudia and Isabelle Olaes defeated Kiley Shaw and Kate Stanely at number one 8-3, followed by Marta Laska and Anna Pastore beating Ellen Gardner and Bella DeNardo 8-3 at number two. The Yeowomen would finish doubles with a 3-0 lead after Dina Nouaime and Francesca Kern defeated Lindsay Parks and Alex Preston at number three, 8-2.
In singles play, Oberlin's Isabelle Olaes defeated Kate Stanley 6-0, 6-0 at number three, followed by Dina Nouaime beating the Tigers' Lindsay Parks 6-0, 6-2 at number four to clinch the Yeowomen's win.
Rounding out the day's matches, Marta Laska beat Ellen Gardner 6-4, 1-6, 10-4 at number one, followed by Anna Pastore defeating Kiley Shaw in another tiebreaker after going 1-6, 7-5, 11-9 at number two. Cladia Olaes defeated Bella DeNardo 6-0, 6-0 at number five, while Alandria Bellamy beat Alex Preston 6-1, 6-3 at number six.
On Sunday, March 20 at 11 am EDT at Cleveland State's Indoor Tennis Center; the Tigers face John Carroll.
