#10 DePauw Advances to NCAC Semifinals Following 72-54 Win over Wooster

Greencastle, Ind. - Top-seed DePauw advanced to the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round for the 10th time in as many tries following a 72-54 quarterfinal win over visiting Wooster. The 10th-ranked Tigers improved to 23-2, while the Fighting Scots finished their season at 4-22.

The Tigers host Wittenberg at 5 p.m. on Friday, February 25, in the first semifinal game with Oberlin and Ohio Wesleyan squaring off in the 7:30 p.m. contest.

Wooster got out to an early 7-2 lead, but the Tigers scored eight straight and never trailed from that point forward. The Tigers took a 22-15 lead into the second quarter and led at halftime, 42-26. DePauw's largest lead of 34 occurred on two occasions in the third.

Mya Shannon paced DePauw with 13 points, while Grace Kinsey added 12. Maura Fitzgerald hauled down a career-high seven rebounds and dished out four assists.

Harley Holloway and Alyssa Chritz led Wooster with 16 points apiece with Chritz grabbing 10 rebounds and Masani Francis handing out four assists.

DePauw shot 44.1 percent from the field including 54.5 percent over the first three quarters. Wooster shot 30.9 percent from the field, but nailed nine 3-pointers.
