DePauw's Men in Fourth at NCAC Championships

Granville, Ohio - DePauw's men are in fourth place after the first full day of North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships competition as the Tigers have totaled 312 points. Denison leads with 732, while Kenyon is second with 568 and Wabash third with 332. Wooster is fifth with 309.5.

The 800-yard freestyle relay of Braden Mallery, Patrick Unterreiner, Will Plumb and Brock Kinnamon opened the meet on Wednesday evening with a fourth-place finish in 6:59.32.

The 200-yard free relay of Alex Rodgers, Robbie Sheffield, Ethan Marunde and James Shorney was fourth in 1:24.68.

Kinnamon was eighth in the 500 free in 4:45.28, while Mallery was also a top-ten finisher in 10th in 4:50.31. Unterreiner led the Tigers in the 200 individual medley by finishing 15th in 1:57.09, while Shorney paced DePauw in the 50 free by placing 13th in 21.48 seconds.

DePauw's 400 medley relay of Seth Fagen, Unterreiner, Sheffield and Shorney wrapped up Thursday's competition by finishing fifth in 3:28.33.

The Championships continue Friday and Saturday at Denison University.
