Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw defensive tackle
Ethan Lowry (Jr., Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) has been named to the
D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance in last Saturday's Monon Bell Game win over Wabash.
Lowry, who was named the
North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week yesterday, was part of a defensive effort that held Wabash's potent offense to 220 yards and 31 points below its per-game averages. He totaled seven tackles of which three were for losses totaling 39 yards including two sacks for 10 yards. He also forced two fumbles, broke up a pass and registered a quarterback hurry.
With the 49-14 win, DePauw reclaimed the Monon Bell, won their second-straight outright NCAC title and earned a second-straight bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Tigers open postseason play on Saturday, November 19, when they travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a Noon EST first-round game.
