Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw defensive tackle
Ethan Lowry (Jr., Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) has been selected North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in last Saturday's Monon Bell Game win over Wabash.
Lowry was part of a defensive effort that held Wabash's potent offense to 220 yards and 31 points below its per-game averages. He totaled seven tackles of which three were for losses totaling 39 yards including two sacks for 10 yards. He also forced two fumbles, broke up a pass and registered a quarterback hurry.
With the 49-14 win, DePauw reclaimed the Monon Bell, won their second-straight outright NCAC title and earned a second-straight bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Tigers open postseason play on Saturday, November 19, when they travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a Noon EST first-round game.
