Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw women's soccer team had four members of its team selected for the 2022 All-NCAC selections, with
Annalise Grammel taking home the Midfielder of the Year award and the DePauw Coaching Staff earning NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
Â
Earning an All-NCAC first-team selection and NCAC Midfielder of the Year recognition was junior midfielder
Annalise Grammel. Grammel led the Tigers in goals (6), assists (5), and points (17) while tallying two game-winners for DePauw. Though her impact was clear on the offensive end, her ability to assist the Tigers' defensive line played a crucial role as DePauw found its way into the 2022 NCAC tournament. Grammel's efforts this season put her second in assists in the NCAC and tied for third in goals scored.
Â
Sophomore forward
Sydney Calisto was named to the All-NCAC second team for a consecutive year. Calisto led the team in game-winning goals (3) and was second in goals with four. She finished the season with nine points and, in the NCAC, was tied for first for game-winning goals.
Â
Joining Calisto on the All-NCAC second-team was junior midfielder,
Leine Dawson. Dawson started 15 of the Tigers' 18 games this season and played a crucial role in the midfield. From containing an attack to getting the first touch on a 50/50 ball, Dawson found a way to dispossess her opponent and flip the momentum of an attack in DePauw's favor.Â
Â
Rounding out the All-NCAC selections was senior goalkeeper
Emma St. John. St. John was selected as a member of the All-NCAC third team. She finished the season with a save percentage of .731 and tallied 38 saves for the year. St. John finished third in the NCAC for goals against (14) and was fourth for shutouts per game (4). She finished her career at DePauw, allowing just 16 goals, a save percentage of .805, and eight shutouts with a career record of 11-6-5.
Â
Earning its third coaching award in program history, DePauw earned the 2022 Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Led by Head Coach
Cristin Allen and assistants
Ola Shogelola,
Lauren Jay, and Maddie Fleet. The Tigers completed its season with an overall record of 10-5-3 and an NCAC record of 5-2 (.714), the team's third-highest winning percentage in program history. DePauw ranked third in assists (7), goals (10), and points (27) in the conference.
