Wooster, Ohio- The DePauw men's soccer team came up short against the College of Wooster in its 1-1 draw on the road, moving to 5-3-4 for the season.
Â
The Tigers' lone goal of the afternoon was awarded after a miscommunicated corner led to the Fighting Scots putting in an own goal just two minutes into the first half.
Â
DePauw would hold its lead throughout the remainder of the first half, despite being outshot 14-8 by Wooster and only earning two corners in the first half.
Â
In the second half, the Tigers put up seven shots to the Fighting Scots' five, but a scramble in front of DePauw's net in the 61st minute by Max Wiley tied the game at one apiece.
Â
With over 25 minutes left in the game, DePauw had some promising looks at goal but was quickly stifled by Wooster's backline.
Â
Alexander Lundin finished with four saves, while the Fighting Scots Jason Prather finished with eight.
Â
DePauw returns to Greencastle, Indiana, on Tuesday, October 11, and hosts the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops at 7 p.m. EDT.
