Granville, Ohio - In its final road contest of the season, DePauw jumped out to a first-half lead but Denison countered and later scored with less than eight minutes left and topped the Tigers by a 3-2 count. The Tigers dropped to 5-7-5 overall and 0-5-2 in North Coast Athletic Conference play, while the Big Red improved to 9-4-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the conference.
Brady Bell's unassisted goal off the left post at 27:16 gave DePauw a 1-0 lead, but the hosts came right back 43 seconds later as a DePauw punt was deflected off of a Denison player and the Big Red's Ethan Miracle gained possession and fired home the equalizing score.
Rohan Tripathy gave Denison a 2-1 lead in the 34th minute with an assist from Vitor Rocha. DePauw's
Joel Thompkins evened the score at 2-2 with an assist from
Jack Powers at 67:19, but the Big Red's Cameron Mcintosh scores the game-winner with 7:29 remaining.
Denison outshot DePauw, 26-11, but just 9-8 in shots on goal. Denison held a 5-4 edge in corners. DePauw's
Evan Sajtar recorded five saves, while Denison's Tommy Prokos had six stops.
DePauw wraps up the 2022 season on Saturday, Oct. 29, with a 2:30 p.m. home contest against Hiram.
