Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw picked up its sixth-straight win and stayed unbeaten in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings following a 3-0 win over visiting Allegheny. The Tigers moved to 9-4 overall and 5-0 in the NCAC with their third-consecutive shutout, while the Gators dropped to 11-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The teams were scoreless for over the opening 11 minutes of the contest before the Tigers broke through with two goals in a span of 1:18.
Hailey Nowak scored at 11:29 with
Alexandra May making it 2-0 on an assist from
Lilly Harris at 12:47.
Harris wrapped up the scoring early in the second half with an unassisted score at 33:12.
DePauw outshot the Gators, 11-9 and held an 8-5 edge in shots on goal. Allegheny led in corners, 10-5.
DePauw's
Bella Lauber and
Scarlett Oaks each recorded two saves for the Tigers, while Hallier Reiger had five in the cage for Allegheny.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 18, with a 4 p.m. game at Wittenberg.
