Wilmore, Ky. - Following a scoreless first half, DePauw erupted for four second-half scores including two in the first 2:05 on the way to a 4-0 win at Asbury. The Tigers improved to 5-2-3, while the Eagles dropped to 2-8-1.
It took DePauw just 14 seconds at the start of the second half to deliver the eventual game winner as
Riley Hurst scored, unassisted.
Jayla Logan scored just 1:51 later on an assist from
Jess Purtee.
Zoie Obst's goal with an assist from
Ashleigh Rupprecht at 64:15 made it 3-0 before
Sydney Calisto's score with 6:17 remaining closed out the scoring.
DePauw outshot the Eagles, 24-14 and held a 17-8 edge in shots on goal. The Tigers also held a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
Emma St. John recorded the shutout in goal for the Tigers with seven saves, while Maliya Crump had 12 stops for Asbury.
DePauw returns to North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday, October 8, when it travels to Wooster for a 1 p.m. contest.
